Course Overview
Hi everyone, and welcome to this course PRINCE2, The Quality Theme, where you will learn how the PRINCE2 management method handles project quality. My name is Tommy van Schaik, a project manager for the Dutch government. This course is the fourth course in the PRINCE2 Practitioner learning path. PRINCE2 is a world-wide project management method that is based on best practices that have been gathered from commercial and government organizations around the world. This learning path is a 12-course journey to get you up to the PRINCE2 Practitioner level. This course, about the PRINCE2 quality approach, helps you to set up a system that will enable you to provide the right quality for the customers in your project. If you frequently work in a project either as a manager or as a project member, this course will help you to make sure that the project customers receive products and services that they find fit for purpose. In this course, we will focus on getting the right quality expectations, creating a system that delivers the desired quality, and how to execute, monitor, and register these quality methods. By the end of this course, you will not only have detailed knowledge about the PRINCE2 quality-related concepts, but you will also be able to apply these concepts in your own project, increasing the customer satisfaction and ultimately the success of your project. So let's go ahead and get you familiar with the PRINCE2 quality approach in this course, PRINCE2, The Quality Theme, here at Pluralsight.

Quality Management Strategy
Hi there, and welcome to this module, The Quality Management Strategy, where we learn how the project can be organized and how quality systems can be put into place to allow the project to deliver the desired quality to the customer organization. In the previous module, we showed you how to gather the quality expectation from the customer organization in three distinct steps of the PRINCE2 quality approach. In this module, we will present the quality management strategy, which is the project's response to the project product description. In other words, in this module you will learn how to set up your project so that the quality that the customer is expecting in the project product description can be delivered by the project. Now we know that getting the quality expectations from the customer is vital in order to create the right quality for the project, but of course creating the systems at the organization within your project to actually deliver that desired quality is equally important if you want your project to succeed. This basic, but very important document will give you the tools and awareness so your project can deliver the desired quality so that there are no acceptance disputes at the final product delivery, and you will make sure that the customer organization actually gets the quality that they are expecting. So in this module we're going to take a deep dive into the quality management strategy. This is done first by presenting the concept in the project management strategy and then further explaining these concepts by giving you an example document using our fictional scenario. Alright, so let's get started, shall we, on this module on the Quality Management Strategy.

Product Descriptions
Hi everyone, and welcome back. This module will be about the Product Descriptions. Product descriptions are a detailed description of each of the products or services that will be created by the project. In these product descriptions, we also find a lot of details about the desired quality of the products and how the project is going to make sure that they can deliver the same level of quality. Besides quality purposes, the product descriptions also hold a valuable role in the PRINCE2 product-based planning approach. This planning approach will be discussed in the next course in the PRINCE2 Practitioner learning path, which is the planning theme. In this module, we will explain the concepts captured in the product description and what their role is in the success of a project. Having good product descriptions will add to the assurance to the customer that they will be receiving quality products and will present the way ahead for the people that will be developing the products within the project. It will also present you with a mechanism that will guarantee the desired quality for the product. Now the setup for this module is first we'll describe the product descriptions and the concepts captured within, and then we will present you with an example product description using the products that need to be created in our fictional project. Alright then, let's go ahead with this module on the product descriptions.
