Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is an open-source Linux operating system widely deployed across enterprise environments in industries including financial services, healthcare, government, and telecommunications. The RHCSA certification is a performance-based credential that validates the core system administration skills required to manage and maintain RHEL systems across a wide range of environments and deployment scenarios.  

This path covers everything from essential tools and software management to shell scripting, storage configuration, file systems, networking, user and group management, and security. Earning this certification also serves as a foundational step toward the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification. This path is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.

Prerequisites
  • Learners should have a basic familiarity with Linux commands, the command-line environment, and general IT concepts before beginning this path. Red Hat recommends completing Red Hat System Administration I and II (or the RHCSA Rapid Track Course, RH199) or having comparable hands-on experience as a system administrator on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. There are no formal certification prerequisites to sit the exam.
